
Biography
Hailey Anne Nelson was born in West Hills, California on September 14, 1994. Hailey Anne's parents knew from an early age that she was a performer. At the age of two, she would stand on top of a desk and sing Janis Joplin's songs, mainly "Oh Lord Won't You Buy Me a Mercedes Bends" as loud as she could! Then, at the age of 5, she asked if she could audition for Sound of Music. Her family didn't think Hailey had a shot, especially with hundreds of other hopeful kids auditioning. Amazingly, Hailey got a part!
Hailey Anne made her stage debut at the age of 5, playing the part of Gretl in" The Sound of Music". She has also appeared in "Ragtime", "Centennial Music Revue" (Lead), "Christmas Carol" (Tiny Tim), "Annie" (Kate), "Annie Warbucks" (Kate), and "Annie Get Your Gun" to name a few. Hailey Anne loves to act on stage, and still does to this day!
At the age of 8, Hailey Anne got her first film role on "Big Fish", a Tim Burton directed film. She played the role of young Jenny. "17 inch Cobras" was her next film. 17 Inch Cobras is an Indie winner, in which Hailey Anne played a lead role.
In August 2004, Hailey Anne got a role in her third film, Walk The Line, which Hailey Anne plays Rosanne Cash, one of Johnny Cash's three daughters.
Hailey Anne has a strong, mellifluous singing voice. She has made several appearances at major sports events where she has opened the games by singing The National Anthem in front of twenty thousand people.
Hailey Anne has been nominated several times at the Young Artists awards. In 2004, she was nominated for "Best Performance in a Short Film", and twice in 2003 for her performance in Big Fish.
